Renovation of an existing pre-1946 Queenslander located amongst similar homes within a suburban environment. The clients had originally renovated the home prior to starting a family and had since outgrown many of the communal spaces.

McLean's brief included the provision of an integrated kitchen, butler's pantry/ deck space, increased storage, new ensuite/ WIR areas, home office nook and a large entertaining terrace overlooking a new pool terrace. The new works has created separate spaces for the clients' teenage children to grow & play whilst providing quite spaces for all to retreat to as needed.

In addition to the above, we also created a communal bathing space for our clients' teenage children as well as a rumpus.

The proposal also included a separate studio pavilion that will be constructed in the future.
